The Vocation Director of each diocese holds a pivotal mission from the Bishop. Upon us rests the hospitality of Christ routed toward the young men who come searching for clarity about their vocation. To host Christ, the vocation director must be open from within his own heart to be affected by the heart of Christ.

This Sacred Heart knows where we need healing, affirmation and wisdom. Christ seeks to heal and regenerate our hearts so that we might share the fruit of such healing love with those who come to us bearing the need of vocational discernment.

In this retreat we will be invited to explicitly enter our mission as a member of an extensive team of seminary formators. This mission passes through our own desires to open interior doors to Christ, who will then enable us to open the doors of the Church to men called to priesthood. To receive the love of Christ's own heart is to secure that our mission will be poured out in healing, wisdom and joy.

Individual Daily Spiritual Direction is included as part of this retreat in an atmosphere of silence.
